I don't necessarily support the Democratic Party but I don't understand the hype surrounding this incident. I constantly hear Republicans call Liberals pussies and then the one time a Democrat gets some balls and asserts his opinion and defends his record they say he had a "meltdown." There was no meltdown. All I saw was a man get angry and speak his mind. A meltdown is when someone is reduced to tears and incoherency. Chris Wallace probably didn't deserve Clinton's wrath but what does he care? This was the best thing that could have happened to him career wise.
There's also some controversy as to whether this "outrage'' was planned or spontaneous. Again, who cares?This is politics. Either way I think it worked to the benefit of the Democratic Party no matter how the Republicans spin it. People like leaders who have a spine. This angle has worked for Bush in the past, why not The Democrats? Unfortunately, I still have no idea what the Democrats really stand for. |
